TRAINING & PRICES 

At Walker's school of motoring, there are various different training methods to suit your individual needs. It does not make a difference about age or ability, I pride myself on the fact that I am able to interact with people of all ages and driving experience, male or female. I will give appropriate tuition to suite your individual needs and requirements. you could be a complete novice, partly taught, nervous of motorway driving, or wanting to refresh you skills, I can assure you, that you are in safe professional hands. The length of instruction required depends on the individual person, but I can assure you that no one will be advised to have additional lessons that are not required.


TEST CENTRES 

I use a variety of test centres and will base options on what I feel is in the best interest of the student. I will give my professional advice on what I feel is appropriate for the training plan that has been discussed. I use Chippenham, Cheltenham, Gloucester & Banbury and have a wide knowledge of all areas. After completing my own training in Chippenham and Gloucester I consider them as great places to learn to drive offering a variety of driving situations.

TYPES OF TRAINING

STANDARD DRIVING LESSONS

A learner is a complete novice, with no or very little driving experience. Therefor you will be starting from scratch, to gain all the relevant and up to date training methods and skills set by the DSA to enable you to pass your driving test and become an excellent driver. If you have not yet passed your theory test, rest assured I will also give you guidance on the latest techniques to help you pass successfully. 


PASS PLUS

Pass plus is a practical training course that takes at least 6 hours and is for drivers to improve their skills and drive more safely. It may help you get a car insurance discount if you successfully complete the course. It is most useful to new drivers in the first year after of passing their test.

Pass Plus training has 6 modules, covering driving

  • In town
  • In all weathers
  • On rural roads
  • At night
  • On dual carriageways
  • On motorways

You’ll normally spend at least 6 hours driving.

You won’t take a test but you’ll be assessed throughout the course. To pass you’ll have to reach the required standard in all modules.


ADDITIONAL MOTORWAY LESSONS

This is for people that may have passed their test for some time, but have never really had the confidence to drive on a motorway, and due to circumstances that situation may have now arisen. Motorway driving involves a high level of skill and experience with many different techniques in addition to more day to day town driving, and A or B road type driving.


REFRESHER COURSES

A refresher course is for someone that is already is a qualified driver, but they may want to refresh and update their skills in line with current training methods. You will also learn the latest updated changes to the highway code and any other relevant information provided by the DSA. I welcome drivers of all abilities, maybe you are a qualified driver but for whatever reason have lost confidence in your skills, and maybe you are nervous about getting back on the road. I am here to help you, and have a lot of experience in this field, you are in safe hands and I will endeavour to get you back to driving confidently and safely again.
